Florida Yards & Neighborhoods and UF/IFAS Extension provide a broad range
of educational support for professionals who plan to create and maintain
Florida-friendly landscapes. FYN currently provides support for the
following professionals*:

- Florida Friendly Guidance Models for Ordinances, Covenants, and Restrictions (pdf, 368Kb)
This manual, a joint Florida-Friendly Landscape document from FDEP and the University of Florida, was just released in January 2009. The book contains two ordinance models addressing nonpoint sources of pollution from landscapes, one of which is more comprehensive and includes water conservation and other issues, and one of which only addresses fertilizer application. Both are reflective of many findings of the 2007 Consumer Fertilizer Task Force. In addition, a model code for private developers, homeowners associations and others is also included. It was developed by the UF College of Law for the Florida Friendly Landscape program. - Low-Impact Development CEUs
